IN-SCHOOL RESIDENCY FOR CHILDREN’S AUTHORS AND ILLUSTRATORS

Deadline: November 6, 2020

The Conseil des arts de Montréal (CAM) is partnering with Une école montréalaise pour tous du ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur (MEES) et à Communication-Jeunesse A Montreal School for All, a support program of the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur (MEES) and with Communication-Jeunesse to offer three residencies in three Montreal schools for children’s authors and/or illustrators residing on the Island of Montreal. These in-school residencies are the first of their kind in Quebec. They will provide the authors and/or illustrators selected with an unparalleled opportunity for direct contact with their audience. The presence of an artist in the classroom environment promotes innovative and creative experiences for both the pupils and their teachers.

Each in-school residency is accompanied by a $10,000 grant, for which the Conseil des arts de Montréal and the MEES are each contributing $5,000.

This program is administered by Communication-Jeunesse.
