30 new organizations receive green transition guidance

The Conseil is proud to announce the continuation of this initiative, which started last year. Thanks to the renewed backing of the Caisse Desjardins de la culture, 30 new organizations, supported by operating grants under the CAM’s general grant program, will benefit from guidance from the Conseil Québécois des Événements Écoresponsable (CQEER).

These organizations voluntarily commit to using Creative Green Canada tools to measure their carbon footprints, a crucial first step in understanding the impact of their activities, mapping their actions and adopting more responsible and sustainable practices. The guidance includes group training on Creative Green tools, as well as support to individual organizations and answers to their specific questions.

Caisse Desjardins de la culture’s total donation comes to $45,000 over three years (2023, 2024 and 2025), amounting to $15,000 annually, which corresponds to the value of the guidance provided to participating organizations.

Creative Green tools, developed for the arts and culture sector, are free, accessible and inclusive. Adapted from Julie’s Bicycle tools in the UK, they were launched in Canada on April 22, 2022, thanks to a collaboration between the Center for Sustainable Practice in the Arts (CSPA) and the CQEER.
