Des ponts culturels, d’une rive à l’autre 2019: Meet-and-greet and unveiling of four new co-created works at Montreal’s Place des Arts

You are invited to attend the first viewing of four co-created artistic projects, to be unveiled at Place des Arts as part of the Conseil’s new program, Des ponts culturels, d’une rive à l’autre 2018. Doors will open to the general public at 1:30 p.m. for a meet-and-greet with the artists and members of the public who helped conceive and create the projects.

When: Saturday, November 9, 2019, 1-5 p.m.

On the agenda: Presentations and discussions with artists and public co-creators

Danse Carpe Diem / Emmanuel Jouthe bring us Et si on dansait?, a contemporary dance co-creation project designed for people over age 55. Host city: Longueuil

Tina Struthers, an artist working in textiles and visual arts, is presenting her project La danse des mains, co-created with students at Cégep Gérald-Godin. Host city: Montreal (Borought L'Île-Bizard-Sainte-Geneviève, in collaboration with la salle Pauline-Julien)

Toxique Trottoir is presenting La brigade des embellisseurs poétiques. Some 15 Laval residents worked with artist Muriel de Zangroniz to create a number of original works. Host city: Laval

The Trames collective is presenting its project Archipel, a citizen initiative and audio co-creation, on the shores of Vaudreuil-Soulanges waterways. Host municipalities: MRC de Vaudreuil Soulanges (Pointe-des-cascades, Les Cèdres, Les Coteaux, Coteau-du-Lac)


The Des ponts culturels, d’une rive à l’autre program is managed by the Conseil des arts de Montréal and Culture Montréal, in partnership with the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, the Conseil des arts de Longueuil, the Conseil des arts et de la culture de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, Place des Arts, the Quartier des spectacles Partnership, and the cities of Laval, Longueuil, Terrebonne, Sainte-Julie, and the municipalities of the RCM of Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
